Pangaya is dedicated to offering our customers the finest environmentally friendly products in the world. While most of the time this means organic, we also offer products that are made from other sustainable fibers, botanically based personal care items, and products made from recycled materials. Regardless of the ingredients or materials used, Pangaya maintains a devotion to only offering those products that promote healthy lifestyles and a healthy environment.
Organic Cotton
Organic cotton is grown in a manner that reduces its impact on this environment. This includes being grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers. In the year 2000, conventionally grown cotton was second only to corn in the amount of pesticides used in its production.
Hemp
Long used in a variety of consumer and industrial applications, hemp is revered for its strength and resistance to mildew and bacteria. Hemp is also great for the environment, as it grows without pesticides, it can be cultivated in a matter of months (trees take decades), produces three times as much fiber as cotton in the same amount of space, and naturally rejuvenates the soil, making it great for crop rotation.
Tencel
Derived from wood pulp by a non-toxic process, Tencel is environmentally friendly and exceptionally luxurious. Depending on the blend, it can be made to feel like cotton, wool, or silk.
EcoSpun
Made from spun fiber threads, 100% of which are made from recycled plastic bottles, EcoSpun based clothing is lightweight, warm, and durable.
